About Kit Hill Group
We are a friendly and welcoming group of beekeepers.
We aim to promote beekeeping by encouraging and supporting both new and experienced beekeepers as well as those interested in learning more about Honey bees. Kit Hill Beekeeping Group, along with other local beekeeping groups, is a major contributor to the continued success of Callington Honey Fair. It is one of the largest street fairs in Cornwall with hundreds of people visiting the Town to enjoy the one day event which is held annually on the first Wednesday in October.
Winter meetings
At Harrowbarrow Village Hall at 7pm.
On the last Monday of each month from September through to April. Including specialist guest speakers covering a range of topics, informal and practical sessions and Question and Answer evenings.
Summer meetings
At Kit Hill Group teaching apiary, Kelly Bray, Callington.
Every Monday evening, May through to August, starting 6.30pm, weather permitting. Hands on practical experience, instructional tuition.
Our Group Apiary manager runs a 3 day course in May of each year which includes theory and practical sessions designed to get you started and help you through your first year or two.
